李應魯美術館是將出生於大田、一生致力於韓國傳統的現代化與世界化的世界級畫家顧菴李應魯(1904~1989)的藝術進行研究與展示的空間。美術館為地下1層樓、地上2層樓高的建築，由法國建築師Laurent Beaudouin所設計。就像顧菴的作品世界內東洋與西洋的相遇般，李應魯美術館的建築正是韓國畫家李應魯與法國建築師Laurent Beaudouin相遇所激盪出的火花，非常值得探究。在此可以欣賞李應魯畫家從早期一直到晚年的作品，能研究其藝術世界，對韓國美術的發展有進一步的認識。

* 大田李應魯美術館之建立 *
大田李應魯美術館的前身為李應魯先生之夫人朴仁京女士於首爾平倉洞經營的李應魯美術館。2005年9月，平倉洞的美術館廢館，館內收藏的作品被贈予大田市，才宣告李應魯美術館深耕大田的時代之開始。美術館委託法國建築師Laurent Beaudouin設計，於2006年竣工，2007年5月3日正式開館。

天然紀念物中心是專為自然遺產──天然紀念物與名勝所設立的國家研究機關，透過系統化地調查、研究，以及相關展示與教育，多方面推廣自然遺產的價值與重要性。天然紀念物中心內的展覽室，展出恐龍蛋、腳印等化石，還有半月黑熊、水獺、禿鷹等動物標本、存道里松樹等植物標本，幫助專業研究者或青少年學習相關知識。亦有體驗空間、電子檢索機、放映室等，提供更多種體驗學習的機會。不僅如此，與聯合國教科文組織、世界各國的自然遺產研究機關、自然史博物館皆有學術交流，持續發展，以期成為名副其實的自然遺產專業研究機關。

2001年開館的地質博物館，是韓國第一座綜合型地質博物館。從1981年開始的「地質調查所」，直到現在的韓國地質資源研究院，持續不段的研究事業累積了不少成果與各種地質標本。後來，以大田博覽會為契機，於研究院講堂樓內開設了小型的「地質標本館」，公開給一般民眾參觀。之後除了受到持續增加的觀光客要求，以及興起建立具體化與綜合性質的專門博物館，而˙開設了地質博物館。
地質博物館內展示有礦物、岩石與化石之類的地質標本，還準備有影像放映、演講與體驗學習等活動，為了成為地質科學大眾化的助力而努力。地質標本樓的營運，讓專家們能有有地方系統的保存標本以及地層鑽探。地質博物館的外觀是以劍龍的骨架為基礎所設計。

地質博物館館藏

地質博物館內擁有岩石、化石與礦物等5,000多件館藏，礦物2232件、岩石291件、化石1231件等，總共3745件的地質標本。 另外還備有影像播放、演講，以及體驗學習等活動，為了讓地質科學更為大眾化而努力。地質標本樓的營運，讓專家們能有有地方系統的保存標本以及地層鑽探。
