[認識了解伽倻文化的好地方，國立金海博物]
國立金海博物館於1998年7月29日正式開館，博物館坐落於流傳伽倻(加耶)建國傳說的金海市龜旨峰山麓，集古代國家之一的伽倻文化遺產之大成，集中展出所有伽倻相關文化財，以及釜山、慶尚南道地區史前時代的文化樣貌，還有伽倻發展基礎的弁韓時期文化遺產。
建築物整體外牆採黑色壁磚設計，以鐵礦石及木炭的圖案來作為鐵的王國──伽倻的象徵。博物館共有2個展覽室，第1展覽室主要展出蔚山檢丹里村落遺址與昌原茶戶里1號墳的模型，並網羅了成為伽倻文化發展基礎的史前、弁韓、早期伽倻的金冠伽倻等時代之文物。第2展覽室則展出各個區域所形成的伽倻文化，透過各種文物呈現不同伽倻的獨創性與變遷。
而進入展覽室前的走道上還設置了一個象徵由現在回到過去的時光膠囊，展有約1300多件文物。

比起其他古代國家，伽倻時代流傳下來的歷史紀錄並不多。因此大部分需透過出土調查等考古學方法，來尋找古代人留下來的遺址，並竭盡所能將其修復，才能了解伽倻的實際面貌。秉持著這樣的理念，國立金海博物館因此成為以考古學為主的專業博物館。
